College/Career Fair at AC Prep Academy

The Southeast High School Alumni Association took part in a College/Career Fair at AC Prep Academy on Thursday, March 24. The participants represented several classes, but '78 and '77 had the most alumni present. A nice hospitality room was shared with the colleges and military. The SEHS alumni professionals talked to students about their various chosen careers in fields such as; nursing, engineering, law enforcement, culinary arts, military, entertainment, real estate, public relations, auto mechanics, law, education, photography, firefighting, psychology and social work, and skilled trades, just to name a few.

The career choices listed were the result of a survey of the students at AC Prep. The Southeast High School Alumni Association provides an annual $1,000 scholarship to a senior student at AC Prep. We hope that interacting with successful alumni will encourage the students to take advantage of the SEHSAA scholarship to help achieve their goals. A huge thanks to the alumni who gave of their time for the evening. You are stars!

A special thanks to SEHSAA board member Kathy Walker James Butler (SE '69) who served as a liaison with AC Prep to help coordinate the event.
