SEHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND

SEHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Southeast High School Alumni Association has established an Education Foundation to annually fund a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded each spring to a deserving senior student currently enrolled at the African Centered Academy which is housed at Southeast High School. The Alumni Association believed it appropriate to award the scholarship to a student enrolled at the high school we all attended when we were in school.

Students applying for the scholarship must meet criteria including good scholarship and citizenship, be a participant in school activities and the community, and who are planning to attend a two or four year college, or trade school. Students who apply for the scholarship will present an application to the high school counseling staff and a committee of representatives of the Alumni Association who will review the applications and select the winner.
We encourage alumni to contribute to the Education Foundation. It is our goal to present this $1,000 scholarship on an annual basis, but to do this, we need the help of our alumni. Our goal is to develop the Education Foundation to the extent that we can award the scholarship annually without depleteing the invested principal. Hopefully, the day might come when we can award more than one scholarship, or increase the amount of the scholarship to deserving students.

Please, Southeast High School alumni, support this worthwhile project, and assist the young people who attend our alma mater in their personal educational goals and in their efforts to become upstanding citizens in our community. Checks may be made payable to the SEHS Alumni Association, Inc. All money collected will be placed in the Education Foundation. To all the Knights and Ladies in our glorious past, thanks for your support.
