Welcome

Welcome Knights and Ladies to the Southeast High School Alumni Association (SEHSAA). We are excited to provide you with a place to remember your years inside The Castle. Much work has gone into researching and archiving the contributions of thousands of students, faculty and administrators who made Southeast a remarkable place to learn! You know you are proud to have been part of a great legacy that will last for years to come. We encourage you to take your seat at the Roundtable and visit us often for updates.

About Us
The Southeast High School Alumni Association (SEHSAA) was founded in 2007 to keep the memory and traditions of the Castle alive for the Knights and Ladies who attended. The association was organized as a Missouri nonprofit in 2007 and received its 501(c)3 not for profit designation from the Internal Revenue Service in 2011.
The SEHSAA is governed by a set of bylaws and overseen by a volunteer board of directors representing various classes who serve three year terms. The ongoing work of the association is done under the auspices of our standing committees, including: memorabilia and artifacts; fundraising; scholarship; publicity/communication and history.
Membership is open to Southeast graduates and non-graduates who attended for at least one year, former faculty and administrators and others who have shown their commitment to Southeast.

The association entered into an agreement with the Kansas City Missouri School District (KCMSD) to purchase for $1 all Southeast High School artifacts and memorabilia remaining in "The Castle" at the time the building was assigned for use by the African Centered Education College Preparatory program. Many of these artifacts, including the Round Table, are currently on display in the association's alumni museum on the first floor of the school. We also secured all of the class shields donated by each year's graduating class during the school's 72 years of operation!

What We Do
The association promotes and maintains ongoing communication and relationships among Southeast alumni, faculty and friends who were part of the school's rich history during its years of operation from 1938 through 2010.

The association works closely with KCMSD and current African Centered College Preparatory Academy administration, faculty, students and parents to support the educational, athletic and social activities offered to students at the former Southeast High School.

A scholarship fund for students of the college prep program has been implemented and we hope you will share in our commitment to our alma mater and support our efforts.
